eCircular at Cop24 in Katowice

We are happy to announce that eCircular was part of the 24th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP24), held in Katowice (02.-14. December). The main obstacle of this year summit was to finalize the implementation of the 2015 Paris Agreement. 

During a side event on “Accelerating the Transformation to Carbon-Neutrality – Perspectives on Technology, Economy and Agriculture”, Lorenzo Rieg of Montanuniversität Leoben was able to represent eCircular with a presentation on “Circular Economy & Climate Change Mitigation”. The side event was organized and hosted by the Climate Change Centre Austria and the Außenwirtschaft Austria on the Austrian Pavillion.

Not only the interesting presentations, but also the event itself was a great opportunity to discuss and engage with a variety of participants from certain background. Especially the strong interest in circular economy and the prevention of plastic waste has created a inspiring working atmosphere.
